Childcare Cook

The Hub Preschoolhas a Full time position available for achef/cookto provide healthy and nutritious****meals for our children from 0 to 5 years at our beautiful Sandgate Hub .

We are seeking a Childcare cook who has a strong work ethic, great communication, team player and a passion for their field of work who strives to provide high quality meals.

Skills and Attributes:

Previous experience working in Early Childhood is desirable but not essential.

Flexibility and open mindedness.

Ability to prepare nutritious meals.

Ability to keep up with time schedules.

Ability to adjust recipes to cater for dietary requirements and allergy requirements.

Responsible for ordering, unpacking, rotating and re-stocking stock and products.

Ability to manage work load and prioritise to ensure efficiency and quality.

Ability to plan menus that meet the taste buds of children and are healthy, nutritious and fresh.

Ability to implement the Food Safety Program and work in partnership with external auditors.

Possess a warm and friendly attitude.

Qualifications:

Essential

Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

Working with Children Check (or willingness to submit application)

Experience in the industry

Desirable

Certificate in Commercial Cookery or similar
