About the role

Nurture Early Learning Vic Park is seeking an experienced and passionate Childcare Room Leader to join our team. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of early childhood educators in providing high-quality care and learning experiences for children. As the Childcare Room Leader, you will be integral to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the wellbeing and development of the children in your care.

What you'll be doing

Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the childcare room, ensuring a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children 2.

Leading and mentoring a team of early childhood educators, fostering their professional growth and collaboration 3.

Developing and implementing age-appropriate educational programs and activities that align with the national Early Years Learning Framework 4.

Observing and assessing children's progress, and communicating with families to support their child's development 5.

Ensuring compliance with all relevant childcare regulations and policies 6.

Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to the children's wellbeing and learning 7.

Actively participating in the centre's continuous improvement and quality assurance processes

What we're ideally looking for

1.

Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field 2.

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Childcare Room Leader or in a similar role 3.

Strong knowledge of child development, early learning principles, and the National Quality Standards 4.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues 5.

Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of early childhood educators 6.

Creativity and problem-solving skills to engage children and address their diverse needs 7.

Current First Aid and CPR certification, as well as a valid Working with Children Check
