Community Kindergarten Teacher
Caloundra Community Kindergarten is an established, not-for-profit, community-based kindergarten with a strong reputation for providing high-quality education and care for children in a warm and welcoming environment.
An exciting and rare opportunity has become available for a warm, passionate Early Childhood Professional to join the team as part time Teacher supporting 25 children, supported by two - three educators.
About the Role:
****Days: 5-day fortnight –Thursday, Friday and alt Wednesday
Hours: 7:45am – 3:15pm
Non-contact: 6 hour and 40min of non-contact time a fortnight.
Position commencing January 19th, 2026
This part time position provides fantastic work- life balance
Our Kindy is a nature-based service, and we encourage children to actively explore, gain a sense of wonder and investigate their world through play based, child centered curriculum.
For this position, we are looking for a self-starter who is passionate about early childhood education. While previous experience as a Teacher is preferred, we are keen to hear from beginning teachers who are enthusiastic to develop their skills and prepared to work hard to achieve them.
Skills and Experience
· Completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood or equivalent (recognised by ACECQA as an Early Childhood Teaching Qualification).
· Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
· Positive Notice Blue Car, First Aid, CPR and Asthma/Anaphylaxis qualifications.
· Hold an approved child protection course.
· Highly developed interpersonal skills.
· Thorough knowledge of the National Quality Framework and Standards.
· Strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and Queensland Kindergarten Guidelines, and the Education and Care laws and regulations.
· An ability to work co-operatively in a team environment
· Develop, plan, implement and oversee a program which reflects sound early childhood principles, relates theory to practice, acknowledges parent values and beliefs and encourages partnerships with parents and families in our community.
· A proven ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative and within a team.
· Commitment to continuous improvement in all aspects of the service.
· An enthusiastic attitude towards the care and education of young children.
· Develop and maintain open and collaborative relationships with all families and encourage parent participation within the program.
· Work collaboratively with the Parent committee
· Ability to act as Responsible Person on your rostered days
· Collaborate and develop curriculum direction and guidance in a single unit Kindergarten
