Exciting opportunity at an EXCEEDING service for Diploma Qualified Educators!

Villa Bambini is an Exceeding rated Early Learning Centre, located on the site of a heritage listed Fire Station in Essendon. Following the Reggio Emilia-inspired approach, we endeavour to create learning environments that challenge and celebrate individual children's learning.

We are currently looking for Diploma Qualified Educators to join our team. We wish to hear from candidates who display strong work ethic, a high level of written and verbal communication skills, and the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.

What you would be doing:

Developing and implementing the educational programs and achieving quality learning outcomes,

Using a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, drawing etc.) to enhance individual children’s abilities,

Creating and maintaining an inclusive, fun, safe, healthy, productive and effective learning environment,

Creating and maintaining excellent relationships with children, families, carers and other team members,

Keeping records of children’s progress, routines and interests,

Ensuring compliance with routines, policies, processes and practices.

Candidate Requirements:

Current Working with Children’s Check,

Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis, CPR and Asthma certificates,

2 years’ experience working within an early childhood setting (recommended),

Ability to follow and give direction,

Proven experience in a similar role,

Passion, enthusiasm and a strong commitment to high quality care.

A demonstrated understanding of:

National Quality Framework (NQF),

Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF),

Child Protection & Safe Standards Training,

Workplace Health & Safety issues,

The ability to form warm and responsive relationships with children,

Ability to work and contribute to a team environment.
