About the role:
Discovery is seeking an experienced full-time Diploma Qualified Room Leader for our Lauderdale Centre. You will have responsibilities covering programming, communicating with parents, and supervising and mentoring staff.

Lauderdale Early Learning Centre has been purpose-built to provide an innovative and dynamic learning environment, including a central hub room that brings children together and creates a sense of community and belonging. Our service offers a unique nature-based outdoor environment, which includes large gardens and trees.
We offer Long Day Care, Outside School Hours Care including, Before School, After School and Vacation Care. We understand every family has different needs and, with this in mind, we offer care on a full-time or part-time basis. Occasional care and casual care are available where a vacancy exists.
Duties:
Develop a highly cooperative relationship with all staff members to ensure a consistently caring and smoothly operating service
Model and encourage educators to develop and maintain respectful and equitable relationships with each child
Provide leadership and positive support for educators and model appropriate skills for other service staff and students
You must have:
Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care (or minimum Certificate III with previous room leader experience)
Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration β or willingness to obtain
Regular availability and flexibility to work a range of shifts during our opening hours
