About Karuna Montessori

Karuna is a small, nurturing, not-for-profit community Preschool with Kindergarten located in the beautiful northern beaches’ suburb of Narraweena. Karuna has a maximum enrolment of 30 students across the 3-6 age range and operates between the hours of 8.00 am – 4.00 pm.

Karuna provides an authentic Montessori educational approach that centres on understanding and meeting the needs of the individual child, instilling a love of learning and a sense of wonder and developing each child’s confidence and independent learning skills.

The school has a large, open classroom and a beautiful, natural outdoor environment with enticing play and discovery equipment, as well as a lovely garden with views of long reef headland.

About the Position

Karuna Montessori Preschool is inviting expressions of interest from experienced Early Childhood Educators to work on a part-time or full time basis.

As a classroom assistant, you will work closely alongside the principal/lead teacher and other educators to ensure the smooth running of the classroom.

Qualifications and Experience

Must hold a Certificate III or Diploma in Children's Services as approved by the Australian Children’s Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA)

Must hold a valid Working with Children Check

Must have a permanent right to work in Australia

At least two years of experience working in an Early Childhood setting

Certificate for First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis (HLTAIDO12, HLLTAIDO15, HLTAIDO16)
