Koala Child Care Centre is a community-based early childhood centre dedicated to educating and caring for children from 8 weeks to 5 years. We are proud to be rated as Exceeding in all 7 Quality Areas. Located on the grounds of Sutherland Hospital, Koala Child Care Centre boasts a wonderful team of educators and a beautiful farm yard of gardens and chickens, in which we run our gardening programs with children.

We now have a rare opportunity for an experienced Early Childhood Educator (Diploma) or Early Childhood Teacher (Degree) to join our 3-5 year old preschool room Part-time, Thursday - Friday on a fixed-term, 12 month contract (maternity leave).

We are seeking someone with a sound knowledge of child development and the ability to implement a play-based learning environment to strengthen our team of educators and enhance our centre.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

Must hold a Diploma of Children's Services or Early Childhood Teaching Degree

Have a Working With Children Check number or be willing to obtain one

Current child protection qualifications

First aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training

Able to provide two (2) references

Position:

Part-Time Teaching Position for Early Childhood Educator (Diploma) or Teacher (Degree)

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Educating and caring for children in the 3-5 preschool room.
