About the role

Learning Avenues Early Education, Care and Kindergarten is seeking passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educators to join our growing team in Merrimac, Queensland. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and education to the children in our centre, supporting their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. What you'll be doing

Designing and implementing engaging, age-appropriate educational programs and activities that align with the Early Years Learning Framework

Providing a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment that fosters the overall well-being of children

Observing and documenting children's progress, and using this information to plan individualized learning experiences

Building positive relationships with children, families, and the wider community

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety within the centre

Collaborating with the teaching team to ensure consistency and continuity of care

Participating in professional development opportunities to continually enhance your skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education or working towards.

Strong understanding of child development and the ability to create engaging, age-appropriate programs

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues

Commitment to upholding high standards of safety, hygiene, and professionalism

Passion for making a difference in the lives of young children

Current First Aid, CPR, and Working with Children (Blue Card) certifications
