Early Childhood Teacher

Cedars is a Prep to Year 12 independent private school with approximately 800 students located just 10 kilometres south of Wollongong in the heart of the beautiful Illawarra. We are currently inviting applications for the following position to work within our Early Learning Centre Prep Program commencing as soon as possible.

EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHER

A permanent part-time position (Monday – Wednesday, 0.6 FTE) exists for an experienced Early Childhood Teacher to commence as soon as possible.

Key requirements for this role are:

Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent as approved by ACECQA

Previous experience working in an early education and care service under the National Quality Framework

Demonstrated ability to complete the planning cycle to support children to achieve outcomes

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Focus on supporting families and promoting positive relationships

Positive attitude with a focus on teamwork

Professional presentation

Highly organised

A current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID012) or be willing to obtain

NSW Working with Children Check

Enthusiasm in their involvement in the co-curricular life of the College

The Early Learning Centre operates 48 weeks per year and is open from 7:30am – 6pm.
