Job Description
Harbour Early Learning is a brand new, privately owned centre. Our purposefully refurbished building is located on College Street in Gladesville. We are a 105-place centre and our opening hours are Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Harbour EL Gladesville is just moments from the scenic grounds of Banjo Paterson Park and the Parramatta River foreshore, offering children rich opportunities for nature-based learning. The centre is also within proximity to Gladesville Public School and Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Primary School, fostering a strong connection with the local educational community.
We are seeking experienced and motivated Early Childhood degree-qualified teachers (ECT) to join a professional and dedicated team of Early Childhood Teachers and Educators. The position is full-time 38 hrs, 5 days (Monday to Friday). You will have the privilege of working with like-minded collaborative practitioners who are setting a new benchmark for early learning.
Qualifications & Experience
· ACECQA recognised Early Childhood Teaching degree.
· At least two years of relevant work experience.
· Current First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Training, or willingness to obtain.
· Current Child Protection training, or willingness to obtain.
· Clear Working with Children Check.
· Clear National Police Check.
· Australian citizens or permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
· Genuine willingness to work with any age groups (including Birth to 2 years).
· Sound computer literacy skills related to documentation and program planning.
· Demonstrated understanding of current education and care legislation, regulations and guidelines.
· High-level interpersonal skills, demonstrated initiative and problem-solving ability.
· Effective implementation of theory and research-based pedagogy.
Tasks & Responsibilities
· Create an environment that acknowledges and encourages each child’s agency and participation.
· Facilitate and document learning opportunities founded on children's ideas, interests, and inquiry.
· Work collaboratively with a team of qualified professionals.
· Develop and maintain positive and welcoming relationships with families.
· Follow the centre’s philosophy, policies and procedures.
