West Ryde Neighbourhood Children’s Centre is a not-for-profit community-based centre and has been operating for 40 years. We are a 51-place centre for children aged from 6 weeks to 5 years. The ideal candidate will engage with children, educators, and families to implement educational programs in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Essential qualifications for this role:

· Bachelor of Education for the Early Childhood Teacher position (ACECQA Approved)

· Diploma in Children’s Services for Diploma position

· Certificate III in Children’s Services for Cert III position

· Working with Children Check number

· A current First Aid Certificate (preferable)

· A current Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate (preferrable)

· Planning and implementing a quality educational curriculum.

· Assist children in daily routines and mealtimes, engage and interact with children.

· Observe and document children's growth, development and interests using electronic portfolios.

· Commitment to continuous improvement of the service and professional development through reflective practice.

· Working as an effective member of a friendly team and developing positive working relationships.

· Ensuring compliance with routines, policies, processes, and practices.

· Understanding and working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, which includes National Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS), and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent organisational and time management skills.

· Competent in basic computing/technology skills.
