🍳 About the Role:

**Position:**Permanent Part-Time

**Hours:**Monday to Friday (Morning Shift – 30 hours/week)

**Hourly Rate:**Up to $35/hour(commensurate with experience)

✅ Essential Qualifications:

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent culinary qualifications/experience)

ValidWorking With Children Check

First Aid Certificateincluding CPR

🧠 Essential Skills & Attributes:

-

Ability to preparebalanced, nutritious mealstailored to children’s developmental needs

Experience creatingrotating menusaligned with dietary guidelines

Skilled in catering tospecial dietary requirements(e.g. gluten-free, dairy-free, halal)

Knowledge of and adherence tofood safety and hygiene protocols

Ability to managefood budgets and ordering supplies

Strongtime managementto ensure meals are ready on schedule

💡 Desirable Skills & Knowledge:

Previous experience as aChef or Cookin an early childhood setting

Familiarity withnutritional needs and common allergiesin children

Interest in preparingculturally diverse dishesfor an educational experience

Knowledge ofsustainable food practiceslike reducing waste and sourcing local produce
