Service Director

About the role

Austral Community Preschool is looking for an experienced Service Director to lead and manage our early childhood education and care service. As the Service Director, you will be responsible for the overall operations, strategic direction, and compliance of our preschool located in Austral, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and education to the children in our community.

What you'll be doing

Providing strong educational leadership and vision for the preschool 2.

Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service, including staffing, programming, and compliance 3.

Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with families, the community, and regulatory bodies 4.

Ensuring the preschool meets all relevant legislation, regulations, and quality standards 5.

Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and improvement plans 6.

Managing the preschool's budget and resources effectively 7.

Supporting, mentoring, and leading the preschool team 8.

Advocating for the rights and needs of children and families

What we're looking for

1.

Relevant tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field 2.

Extensive experience (minimum 5 years) in a senior leadership role within the early childhood education and care sector 3.

Demonstrated success in managing the operations of an early childhood service 4.

Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework and applicable regulations 5.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills 6.

Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team of educators 7.

Commitment to providing high-quality, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate programs 8.

Passion for making a positive impact on the lives of young children and their families
