Job Description
Sage Education and Childcare Belconnen is a family owned and family focused service in the vibrant hub of Belconnen ACT. Our centre is a state of the art facility with a developed philosophy and unique Image of the Child underpinning our curriculum and service approaches. The centre is rated 'Exceeding' the National Quality Standards.
Our centre caters for 120 children per day and has been designed with children at the forefront starting with the spaces we have created to the expertise of the educators we hire.
We are seeking someone remarkable, a person with experience and confidence managing the day to day operations of our centre.
We are seeking a person who leads by example, motivates and inspires their team towards being better each day and using every opportunity to learn and develop.
Here at Sage Education and Childcare the teaching programs are enhanced through our specialist programs including; on site arts program supporting children in their creative expression through their work with clay, local excursions including our 12 week seasonal bush kinder program at the Arboretum and weekly sports session focusing on the development of fundamental movement skills.

The ideal candidate will have:

Minimum 3 years experience in a Centre Director role
Bachelor or Diploma of Early Childhood Education
Demonstrated experience leading large teams in high quality early learning environments
Experience effectively managing staff rosters in line with budgets and compliance requirements
Knowledge and demonstrated experience maintaining compliance in relation to the National Quality Framework and National Law and regulations and the Child Safe Standards; experience implementing and commitment to continuous improvement to achieve high quality outcomes for children
excellent verbal and written skills and demonstrates effective communication with all stakeholders
sound knowledge of theorists, early childhood practices, approaches and Learning Frameworks
Demonstrated experience as a team player and collaborator, who thrives on a challenge and has the ability to problem solve to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
