Job Description
We are seeking a nurturing, passionate and enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher to join us full time at our little centre on the hill.
Musgrave Hill Community Childrenβs Centre is a community owned centre operated by our Director and a Management Committee formed by parents of children currently attending the centre. As a not-for-profit organisation, all of our funds go directly back into the centre to benefit the children.
This full time position will commence immediately and will see you working with children aged from 3.5 - 5 years old.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Developing and implementing learning programs based on your knowledge of each child, their interests, strengths and goals using the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG),
Completing Transition Statements for each child
Maintaining a range of records as required under the National Quality Framework
Maintaining a high level of pride for their working environment
Liaising with families informally and formally
Proactively preparing children for school.
Role modelling behaviours appropriate for staff and children
Ensuring a safe environment is implemented always for children in your care
Ensuring centre policies and procedures are adhered to
Qualifications:
To be eligible for this role we are seeking someone who has:
A recognised Early Childhood Teaching degree level of qualification in Early Childhood or ACECQA approved equivalent.
Current Blue Card
Working knowledge of the QKLG, EYLF, NQF and NQS
A current First Aid
A current Anaphylaxis training
A current CPR Training
Child Protection Certificate
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organisation and time management skills
