At MADEC, we are seeking Early Childhood Workers to join our Residential Care team. This is an opportunity to bring your knowledge of child development, nurturing care, and trauma-informed practice into a new environment, supporting children and young people who have experienced neglect and trauma.
About the Role
As an Early Childhood Worker β Residential Care, you will play a vital role in providing safe, consistent, and supportive care to children living in our homes. Guided by our experienced Team Leaders and Youth Coordinators, you will:
β’ Deliver day-to-day care and routines that meet the developmental needs of children aged 0β7 years.
β’ Build safe and trusting relationships, supporting children to develop social and emotional skills.
β’ Facilitate opportunities for learning, play, and growth while leading by example.
β’ Ensure a stable, nurturing, and trauma-informed space for children to thrive.
This role involves shift work, weekends, and sleepovers, with attractive hourly rates:
β’ Permanent β $38.65 per hour
β’ Casual β $46.69 per hour

About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
β’ Qualifications: Certificate IV or above in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent), or willingness to obtain.
β’ Experience: Previous experience working with children aged 0β7 years.
β’ Licences & Checks: QLD Driverβs Licence, Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening, and LCS2.
β’ Availability: Flexibility to work across varied shifts including weekends and sleepovers.
β’ Personal Qualities: Compassion, resilience, and a commitment to empowering young people.
