If that sounds like you, Possum Magic is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic educator, to join our senior leadership team and contribute to delivery of a high quality, exciting and stimulating educational program, that will create a world of learning and play for our young children.

Supernumerary role for 3 days/week on a 3 month contract to begin with. Permanent work to follow for suitable candidate.

Responsibilities will be:

Curriculum and Pedagogy

Design and implement curriculumaligned with early learning frameworks (e.g., EYLF in Australia).

Support educatorsin planning and delivering developmentally appropriate learning experiences.

Promote play-based learningand inquiry-driven approaches.

Monitor and evaluatethe effectiveness of teaching strategies and learning outcomes.

2. Professional Development

Mentor and coacheducators to improve teaching practices.

Facilitate ongoing trainingand reflective practice sessions.

Encourage collaborationand sharing of best practices among staff.

3. Leadership and Management

Lead with vision and purpose, fostering a positive learning culture.

Support change managementand innovation in teaching and learning.

Ensure compliancewith regulatory standards and quality frameworks.

4. Child-Centered Practice

Advocate for children's rights, safetyand wellbeing.

Ensure inclusive practicesthat respect diversity and individual needs.

Use observation and documentationto inform planning and support each child’s development.

5. Reflective Practice and Continuous Improvement

Lead reflective discussionsto evaluate and improve practice.

Use data and evidenceto inform decision-making.

Contribute to the service’s Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
