Seeking Educators, Early Child hood Teachers

Casual opportunities are available within our services across Cairns and Smithfield.

We are a Community Based not-for-profit Early Childhood Organisation – Cairns and District Child Care Development Association and we are seeking passionate and enthusiastic professionals to join our team. We are Child Safe Organisation committed to child safety. We have been providing a high level of care for over 45 years to the community and our team values are reflected in our long-term staff and the supportive and caring environments within each of our services who do not follow under-roof ratios.

As a part of our team, you will:

Be professional, motivated, and passionate.

Communicate and work well with staff, families, and children.

Prepare play spaces and learning environments in addition to cleaning tasks to ensure a high standard in maintained.

Engage in children's play, ensuring safety and wellbeing at all times.

Guide children's behaviour and social emotional development.

Maintain high practices around protecting children, including following our child protection policies and code of conduct and mandatory reporting requirements in line with the National Principles and child safe standards.

Successful applicants must have the following:

Qualified or studying towards a qualification

A genuine interest in working with children and being a part of our team.

Knowledge of National Quality Framework including NQS and EYLF.

Current Blue Card and First Aid Qualifications.

Holds current date Child Protection Training.

National Criminal History Check or complete during employment process.
